Watts N30-005030 1/2" Relief Valve, Bronze, NPT

The Watts N30-005030 is a 1/2" calibrated adjustable pressure relief valve for well system pressure relief service, field-adjustable over 5-30 psi. It features a bronze body. Rated to 75 psi.

This 1/2 inch pressure relief valve for wells is used to protect against excessive pressures in well systems. It is not diaphragm actuated, and is used for pressure-relief service only. It consists of a bronze body construction with NPT threaded male inlet and NPT threaded female (drain) outlet connections, and stainless steel spring. Its pressure range is 5 to 25 psi (0.34 to 1.72 bar) and a standard pressure setting of 30 to 45 psi (2.06 to 3.1 bar).

What pressure does this relieve at?

This is a calibrated valve — you set it. It adjusts over 5-30 psi, so it has no factory set point. Set it below the working pressure rating of the equipment you are protecting, and re-check the setting after installation.

Can I use this on potable water?

No. This model is not certified lead-free, so it cannot be installed in a potable (drinking) water line under the NSF/ANSI 372 weighted-average lead rule. Use it on non-potable service, or order the "LF" version of this model for potable water.
