The Watts LFBP30 10-50 1/2 is a 1/2" lead-free calibrated adjustable pressure relief valve for pump bypass pressure control service, field-adjustable over 10-50 psi. It features a copper body. Rated to 50 psi and up to 180°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
This 1/2 inch bypass control relief valve is used in commercial, residential and industrial applications to regulate liquid pressure as supplied by a positive pressure pump. It is a diaphragm-operated type valve that protects equipment by opening at an adjustable range of 10 to 50 psi (0.1 to 3.4 bar) to allow excess volume to be by-passed back to the source. It consists of a lead free alloy body with NPT threaded male inlet and NPT threaded female outlet, sensitive rubber diaphragm, Buna-N disc, tee handle, a spring, and adjustment handle separated from liquid elements.

- What pressure does this relieve at?
- This is a calibrated valve — you set it. It adjusts over 10-50 psi, so it has no factory set point. Set it below the working pressure rating of the equipment you are protecting, and re-check the setting after installation.
- Can I use this on potable water?
- Yes. It is certified lead-free to NSF/ANSI 372, which is what plumbing codes require for any device in a drinking-water line.
