The Watts LFF127W-206 4 is a 4" lead-free pressure reducing valve with Flanged connections. It reduces inlet pressure of up to 175 psi to an adjustable 25-100 psi downstream. It features a cast iron body. Rated to 175 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 4 inch lead free high capacity water pressure reducing valve is used in commercial and industrial applications to reduce incoming water pressure for protection of plumbing system components and reduce water consumption. It features a triple coated corrosion preventative iron body, flanged inlet and outlet connections, replaceable disc, interchangeable diaphragm chamber, replaceable stainless steel seat and stainless steel stem. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar), and the adjustable reduced pressure range is 25 to 100 psi (1.7 to 7.0 bar). The temperature range is 33 to 160 degrees F (0.5 to 71 degrees C).

Common Questions

Does it have a built-in bypass for thermal expansion, or do I still need an expansion tank?

No - LFF127W-206 4 does not include a thermal-expansion bypass. Once this valve is installed the system downstream of it is closed, so a thermal expansion tank (and, where required, a relief valve) must be installed to absorb expansion from a water heater. If you want the bypass built in, choose the -B version of this model.

What pressure is it set to out of the box?

The adjustable reduced-pressure range of LFF127W-206 4 is 25 to 100 psi. Verify the outlet setting with a gauge after installation and adjust to your target pressure.

Does it include a strainer?

No - LFF127W-206 4 does not have an integral strainer. On dirty or older supply lines, install a separate inline strainer upstream to keep debris off the seat.

Does it come with a gauge?

No - LFF127W-206 4 has no gauge and no gauge tapping. Set the outlet pressure using a gauge elsewhere on the downstream piping. The -GG version of this model ships with a gauge tapping and a 160 psi gauge.
