This 2 inch high capacity lead free water pressure reducing valve is commonly installed at the meter in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. It is designed to control the water pressure flowing to all the appliances and outlets within the building and provides an inexpensive means of supplying lower, more functional water pressure to outlets and appliances. It features a lead free cast copper silicon alloy body construction, bypass to control thermal expansion pressure, NPT threaded female inlet and outlet connections, high temperature resisting enlarged diaphragm for hot or cold temperatures, a sealed spring cage and seat orifice for high capacity performance. This valve can be used for accessible outdoor waterworks or pit installations. The high pressure range is 50 to 125 psi (3.4 to 8.6 bar).

- Does it have a built-in bypass for thermal expansion, or do I still need an expansion tank?
- LF223-B-HP 50-125 2 includes an integral thermal-expansion bypass. When downstream pressure from a water heater rises above the inlet pressure, the bypass relieves that excess back through the valve toward the supply, which prevents nuisance pressure build-up on a closed system. It is not a substitute for a properly sized thermal expansion tank where your local code requires one - the bypass only relieves back to the street when street pressure is lower, so check the code in your jurisdiction.

- The adjustable reduced-pressure range of LF223-B-HP 50-125 2 is 50 to 125 psi. Verify the outlet setting with a gauge after installation and adjust to your target pressure.
- Does it include a strainer?
