The Zurn Wilkins ZW4004ILGSS-T is a 2-1/2" factory-set Pressure-Tru® automatic fire control valve (floor control / indicating / check valve), bonnet type T, rated for a maximum inlet pressure of 225 psi, regulating outlet pressure under both flow and no-flow conditions. It ships with a built-in supervisory tamper switch (3A @ 125 VAC). It features a bronze body. Rated to 225 psi.

The Pressure-Tru® ZW4004SS Pressure Reducing Valve is a floor control valve in automatic sprinkler systems, as well as a standpipe valve for class I and class III systems. The factory set valve regulates pressure under both FLOW and NO-FLOW conditions.

What does the bonnet letter mean?: Bonnet type T sets the maximum rated inlet pressure at 225 psi and the residual-outlet curve this valve was built to. Choose the bonnet from Zurn’s residual-pressure chart using your inlet flow pressure and GPM demand, not by picking the highest number.
Is this factory-set or field-adjustable?: Factory-set. This is a Pressure-Tru® ZW4000/ZW4004 series valve, set at the factory to the bonnet’s rated pressure; it is not field-adjustable. If you need to set or change the outlet pressure on site, use the ZW5000/ZW5004 field-adjustable series instead.
Does it act as a check valve too?: Yes. The ZW4004 is listed as a floor control valve, an indicating valve and a check valve in automatic sprinkler systems, in addition to its standpipe pressure-reducing function.
