Description
The Zurn QQE33BSGX is a 1/2" lead-free brass elbow -- 1/2" Barb x 1/2" Female Swivel Elbow. It features a brass body. Rated to 160 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
Q_P Zurn PEX tubing is produced using the silane method of crosslinking. It is used in residential and commercial applica- tions for cold water service, hot and cold potable water, fire protection, underground fluid distribution and water distribution to manifolds, hydronic coils, etc. It may also be used in radiant heating systems where there are no ferrous metal parts or ferrous metal parts are isolated from the tubing. Common Questions
- Crimp or expansion fitting -- which is this?
- This is a crimp/insert fitting (ASTM F1807): the barb pushes into the PEX tubing and a separate copper or stainless crimp ring is compressed over the joint with a crimp tool. It is not a cold-expansion (ASTM F1960, "ProPEX-style") fitting, which uses no loose ring at all -- the two systems are not interchangeable without swapping tooling.
