Description
The Zurn Wilkins 34-VR10XL is a 3/4" vacuum relief valve for vacuum / backflow-device protection. It features a brass body. Rated to 225 psi and up to 250°F.
The VR10XL Vacuum Relief Valve is utilized to protect both commercial and residential water supply systems and pressure vessels from internal vacuum conditions draining a system by siphonage, collapsing storage tanks, and damaging heating elements. Its low-lead brass valve body and 300 series stainless steel internals protect against corrosion, while its silicone elastomers provide a durable, reliable seal. Features of the VR10XL include a maximum working water pressure of 200 psi, a maximum working water temperature of 250°F, and a capacity of 13 CFM. It is available in two convenient sizes for easy installation.

Common Questions
- What pressure does this relieve at?
- None - this is a vacuum relief valve, not a pressure relief valve. It opens inward to admit air when the system goes into a vacuum, preventing a tank from collapsing. It does nothing about overpressure and does not replace a T&P valve where one is required.
- Can I use this on potable water?
- Yes - it is certified lead-free under NSF/ANSI 372, which plumbing codes require for any device in a drinking-water line.
