The Zurn Wilkins 34-BVECXLC-125CF is a 3/4" lead-free full-port bronze ball valve with integral thermal-expansion relief for thermal expansion control, factory set at 125 psi. It features a brass body. Rated to 400 psi and up to 180°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
The Wilkins BVECXL full port brass ball valve with thermal expansion relief valve will relieve excess pressure caused by thermal expansion occurring within a closed water system, removing the buildup of potentially harmful water pressure.

Common Questions
- What pressure is this valve set to?
- It is factory set to relieve at 125 psi. The setting is fixed and is not field-adjustable. Note the 400 psi figure in the specifications is the body's rated working pressure, not this valve's relief point - it opens at 125 psi.
- Can I use this on potable water?
- Yes - it is certified lead-free under NSF/ANSI 372, which plumbing codes require for any device in a drinking-water line.
- Is this a shutoff valve or a relief valve?
- This is a two-in-one device: a full-port bronze shutoff ball valve with a thermal-expansion relief valve built into the same body, factory set to relieve at 125 psi. The 400 psi WOG figure is the ball valve's cold-working-pressure rating, a completely different number from its relief setting.
