Zurn 3-ZW209FPG Lead-Free Pilot Operated Pressure Reducing Valve, Ductile Iron, Grooved

The Zurn Wilkins 3-ZW209FPG is a 3" lead-free pilot-operated, diaphragm-actuated pressure reducing valve with Grooved end connections, built for waterworks and commercial water-distribution service. It features a ductile iron body. Rated to 300 psi and 33°F to 140°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

Pressure Reducing Valve ZW209 provides steady downstream pressure and allows high flow rates. Standard features ease maintenance and repair, and provide the lowest total cost of ownership. The PRV ZW209's pilot assembly allows the main valve to modulate between closed and open for a constant downstream pressure, and automatically seals shut after reaching the pilot setting to prevent possible downstream damage. This Water Pressure reducing valve's internal and external epoxy coating offers corrosion-resistance, and the isolation valves and pressure gauges provide easy, cost-effective maintenance and repairs for the lowest total cost of ownership.

Features

• Epoxy coating of internals and externals protects against corrosion
• Inlet and outlet pressure gauges, wye strainer, and isolation valves come standard and provide for quick and easy maintenance or repair
• Reactive pilot assembly ensures constant downstream set pressure
• 150 class flanged, 300 class flanged, grooved, and threaded end connections available for versatile installation
• Globe, reduced port globe, and angle bodies available
• ANSI/AWWA C530
• Meets the requirements of NSF/ANSI 61

Common Questions

What sets the downstream pressure?

A pilot valve on the discharge side senses downstream pressure and modulates the main diaphragm valve to hold it within a narrow band regardless of flow rate. The pilot is field adjustable from 15 to 120 psi (this valve's standard spring range).

What is the maximum working pressure?

This valve is built as GRV (Grooved) and is rated to 300 psi. Confirm the end connection and class match your piping before ordering - Threaded/Grooved and flanged bodies on this platform carry different pressure ceilings.

Is this UL Listed or FM Approved for fire protection?

No - this is a waterworks pressure reducing valve certified to ANSI/AWWA C530 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for potable water distribution. Zurn's UL/FM fire-protection pressure valves are a separate product line (ZW4000/ZW5000).
