Description
The Zurn Wilkins 212-FSC is a 2-1/2" lead-free ductile iron wye strainer with Flanged connections that removes pipeline debris and particulates to protect downstream equipment. It ships with a perforated 300 series stainless steel screen. It features a ductile iron body. Rated to 200 psi and up to 150°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
The FSC Ductile Iron Wye Type Strainer is used to protect downstream equipment from premature fouling and failure due to buildup of sediment and debris. Ideal for use with large diameter backflow assemblies, it features a 300 series perforated stainless steel screen and NSF/ANSI 61 epoxy finish coating, included both inside and out. The FSC also includes a ductile iron main valve body and access cover, and flanged end connections. Pressure and temperature ratings include 200 psi at 150°F WOG and 125 psi at 450°F steam. While horizontal installation with the strainer cap facing downward is preferred, the strainer provides protection in any orientation.

- What screen does it come with?
- 212-FSC uses a perforated 300 series stainless steel screen, accessible for cleaning without removing the body from the line.
- Can I use this on steam?
- Yes. 212-FSC is rated 125 psi WSP on steam, a separate and much lower limit than its 200 psi WOG (cold water) rating. Do not size steam service off the WOG number.
