Watts XFAS134 Float Valve, Glass-Reinforced Nylon

The Watts XFAS134 is an XtraFlo armless diaphragm float valve for high-demand livestock troughs. The compact armless body mounts bottom, side or top entry to keep it clear of stock, and closes on a diaphragm so it will not hammer. It features a glass-reinforced nylon body and a buna-n seat. Rated to 60 psi.

This 1 3/4 inch float valve is fully adjustable without the need for tools. It utilizes a unique way of operation where the pin moves out of the tip of the jet center, pushing any accumulated debris which reduces the valve from blocking. The valve operates at full flow the entire time and slowly shuts off avoiding any chance of creating water hammer.

Common Questions

Does this include the float ball and rod?

Yes. This valve has an integral float and installs complete; there is no separate float ball or 3/8"-16 rod to buy, unlike the Watts bronze lever-arm float valves.

Can I use it on drinking water?

No. This valve is not certified lead-free and is for non-potable service only — cooling tower and refrigeration make-up, irrigation, livestock watering and tank fill. Do not install it on a potable water supply.

How does it mount?

Bottom mount, side mount or top entry. The armless design has no float rod sticking into the trough, so there is far less for livestock to damage.

What is the flow capacity?

80+ GPM @ 60 psi. Size the valve to how fast the tank or trough has to refill, not just to the pipe it lands on.
