Watts WGV-X 1 1/4 Gate Valve, Brass, FNPT

The Watts WGV-X 1 1/4 is a 1-1/4" gate valve with a non-rising stem (NRS), a solid wedge and female FNPT connections. It features a brass body and a ptfe seat. Rated to 200 psi.

This brass cross-handle gate valve, 1 1/4" Watts model WGV-X, is used in commercial and residential general service applications. It features a brass body construction with NPT female threaded connections, brass non-rising stem and gland, PTFE packing, brass threaded bonnet, solid wedge disc, and cast iron, cross-handle handwheel. The maximum pressure is 200 psi (13.8 bar) WOG.

Common Questions

Is this UL/FM listed for fire service?

No. This is a brass general-service gate valve for water, oil and compressed gas lines; it is not listed for fire protection. Use the UL/FM listed 408-OSY-RW series for fire mains.

Rising or non-rising stem?

Non-rising stem (NRS). The stem turns but does not travel, so the valve fits tight spaces, buried service and pits. There is no visual open/closed indication — use an OS&Y valve where that is required.

Is this a complete valve or just the replacement gate?

Complete valve. The WGV-X 1 1/4 ships as a full assembly — body, bonnet, wedge, stem and handwheel. The Watts NRS-RW-GATE / OSY-RW-GATE items are gate assemblies only, sold to service an existing valve.
