The Watts WDS-R is a FloodSafe water detector shutoff. It features a rubber seat. Rated to 150 psi.

This FloodSafe® water detector shutoff, model WDS-R, protects the home from catastrophic damage due to the water heater leaking. It detects the presence of water on the floor beneath the water heater and will automatically shut off the water supply and power source to the water heater.

Common Questions

How does it shut the water off?
The FloodSafe sensor detects water on the floor under the heater and closes the valve, cutting the water supply and the power to the heater. It is testable and resettable, and provides contacts for a monitored alarm system.
