Watts T1450F-022045 1/2" Relief Valve, Bronze, NPT

The Watts T1450F-022045 is a 1/2" combination boiler fill and relief valve for hot water boiler service. It features a bronze body. Rated to 100 psi and up to 212°F.

This 1/2 inch dual control regulator and relief valve is for use in commercial and residential hydronic heating systems to fill the boiler and piping system with water, and to maintain water pressure in the system at all times. It also provides make-up water to the system in the event of system leaks. It consists of an iron and bronze body construction with NPT threaded inlet and outlet connections, an attached iron body, a tight seating check valve, diaphragm relief valve, purge lever for manual purging, and a stainless steel strainer. It has high capacity performance and a simplified servicing design. It is suitable for use in the boiler feed lines of hydronic heating systems. The water pressure set is at 44 to 46 psi.

Common Questions

Can I use this on potable water?

No. This is a boiler valve and is not approved for potable water, and that is true regardless of what the lead-free column says — hydronic boiler water is a closed, treated loop and is not drinking water. For a potable hot water heater or storage tank, use a T&P relief valve listed to ANSI Z21.22 / CSA 4.4 instead.
