The Watts OSY-RW-GATE-TC 2 1/2 is a replacement shutoff gate for a 2-1/2" OS&Y resilient wedge gate valve — the gate assembly only, not a complete valve. It is supplied with a 1/2" ball valve and test cock. It features a rubber seat.

- Is this a complete valve or just the replacement gate?
- Just the gate. The OSY-RW-GATE-TC 2 1/2 is the replacement shutoff gate assembly for a 2-1/2" OS&Y resilient wedge gate valve — it does not include the body, bonnet or handwheel. If the valve body itself is damaged, order a complete gate valve instead.
- Does it include test cocks?
- Yes. This is the -TC version, supplied with a 1/2" ball valve and test cock, as used on the shutoffs of a backflow assembly.
- Rising or non-rising stem?
- This gate fits an OS&Y (outside stem and yoke) valve. The stem rises out of the yoke as the valve opens, so position is visible at a glance — order the NRS gate for a non-rising-stem valve.
- Is this UL/FM listed for fire service?
- No. Replacement gates are not themselves UL/FM listed. Servicing a listed fire-service valve with a replacement component can affect its listing — confirm with the authority having jurisdiction before you install it.
