Watts LFN9-CD-C 3/4 Lead-Free Dual Check Valve Backflow Preventer, FNPT

The Watts LFN9-CD-C 3/4 is a 3/4" lead-free dual check valve with FNPT connections, approved for low health hazard protection. It is rated to 125 psi and 33°F to 140°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 3/4 inch lead free dual check vacuum breaker backflow preventer prevents the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply. It is designed for non-health hazard continuous pressure applications, such as parlor sinks. It consists of a chrome plated lead free body construction with an atmospheric vent and NPT female inlet and outlet connections.

It is rated for low health hazard (non-toxic, "pollutant") cross-connections only. Where the substance downstream could be a health hazard, codes require a reduced pressure zone (RPZ) assembly instead.

Is this model legal for potable water?

Yes. It is certified lead-free to NSF/ANSI 372, which is what state plumbing codes require for any device in a drinking-water line.

Can this device be field tested?
