Watts LFFBV-PEX 1 Lead-Free Ball Valve, Brass, PEX

The Watts LFFBV-PEX 1 is a 1" lead-free 2-piece full port ball valve with PEX connections. It features a brass body and a buna-n seat. Rated to 160 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 1 inch 2-piece full port lead free ball valve is used in commercial and industrial applications. The valve features forged lead free body with crimp end connections, chrome plated lead free brass ball, virgin PTFE seats and seals and NBR O-rings, and zinc plated steel handle with vinyl insulator. The lead free brass end tailpieces make easy crimping into PEX piping systems. The pressure rating for the ball valve is 400 psi (27.6 bar) WOG and the crimp joint is rated at 160 psi (11.0 bar) at 73 degrees F (23 degrees C).

Common Questions

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 1" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

Yes. It is a lead-free model certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372, so it meets the Safe Drinking Water Act limit for potable-water service.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
