Watts LFFBV-3C-QC 1/2 Lead-Free Ball Valve, Brass, PEX

The Watts LFFBV-3C-QC 1/2 is a 1/2" lead-free 2-piece full port ball valve with PEX connections. It features a brass body and a ptfe seat. Rated to 200 psi and 0°F to 180°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 1/2 inch 2-piece full port lead free ball valve with female threaded end connections is used in residential and commercial potable water applications. The valve features lead free brass body construction, adjustable packing gland, chrome plated lead free brass ball, virgin PTFE seats and seals, a bottom loaded blowout proof stem, and steel handle. The temperature range is 0 to 180 degrees F (-18 to 82 degrees C). The pressure rating is 200 psi (13.8 bar) at 180 degrees F (13.8 bar at 82 degrees C).

Common Questions

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 1/2" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

Yes. It is a lead-free model (weighted lead content at or below 0.25%), so it is legal for potable water. Check the spec sheet if your submittal specifically requires an NSF/ANSI 61 listing.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
