The Watts LFB6400 3 is a 3" lead-free 2-piece standard port ball valve with a lever handle. It features a copper body and a ptfe seat. Rated to 600 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
This 3 inch 2-piece lead free copper silicon alloy standard port ball valve with actuator mounting pads is used in commercial and industrial applications for a wide range of liquids and gases. It consists of Durafill® (carbon/glass filled PTFE) seat, bottom loaded blowout proof stem, stainless steel ball and adjustable stem packing to provide lasting service. This ball valve is rated for 125 WSP/400 WOG.

Common Questions
- Is this full port or standard port?
- Standard (conventional) port. The ball bore is one size down from the pipe, which trades a small pressure drop for a smaller, lighter, lower-torque valve. Fine for isolation duty; specify a full port model if flow is critical.
- Can I use this on natural gas or propane?
- No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.
- Is this rated for potable water?
- Yes. It is a lead-free model (weighted lead content at or below 0.25%), so it is legal for potable water. Check the spec sheet if your submittal specifically requires an NSF/ANSI 61 listing.
- Can I actuate this valve?
- Yes. The body has integral actuator mounting pads, so an electric or pneumatic actuator bolts straight on without a bracket kit. For a ready-to-wire assembly, look at the LFEMVII electric ball valves.
- Can it be serviced without cutting it out?
- No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
