The Watts LF17 1 is a 1" lead-free inline union-pattern strainer with FNPT connections that removes pipeline debris and particulates to protect downstream equipment. It ships with a 40 mesh 304 stainless steel screen. It features a bronze body and a buna-n seat. Rated to 250 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 1 inch lead free in-line single union strainer is designed to protect system components from dirt, rust and other damaging debris in the piping system. Is ideal for quick removal from equipment for cleaning or where feed line separation is required. It features a lead free bronze body with union end and NPT threaded female connections, 40 mesh stainless steel screen and Buna-N union seal. The maximum working pressure is 250 psi (17.2 bar) WOG at 180 degrees F (82 degrees C).

Does it have a blowoff / blowdown port?

No. This model has a solid retainer cap, so cleaning means removing the cap and lifting out the screen. If you want to blow the strainer down in place, order the tapped-cap version of this body instead.

What is the "seat material" on a strainer?
