Watts LF WDS-SP-R 3/4 Lead-Free Water Detector Shutoff, NPT

The Watts LF WDS-SP-R 3/4 is a 3/4" lead-free FloodSafe water detector shutoff with NPT connections. It features a rubber seat. Rated to 150 psi and up to 210°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This FloodSafe® water detector shutoff protects the homeowner from catastrophic damage in the event of a water heater leak by using state of the art water detection technology. It detects the presence of water on the floor beneath the water heater and will automatically shut off the water supply and power source to the water heater. This 3/4 inch safety valve detector is easily testable and resettable by the contractor or home owner to ensure proper operation. It consists of an integral control unit, a water dam, power supply, power cut-out module with standing pilot and right handed thread, and water detection pad.

Common Questions

How does it shut the water off?

The FloodSafe sensor detects water on the floor under the heater and closes the valve, cutting the water supply and the power to the heater. It is testable and resettable, and provides contacts for a monitored alarm system.
