Description
The Watts GBV-FL 1/2X1/2 is a 1/2" 2-piece full port ball valve with female FNPT connections. It features a brass body and a ptfe seat. Rated to -20°F to 125°F.
This 1/2 x 1/2 inch two-piece full port brass gas ball valve with female threaded end connection by flared end connection is used in residential and commercial applications for natural gas and LP gas on in-house and indoor piping systems. The valve features brass body construction, virgin PTFE seats and seals, brass end piece and plug, and zinc alloy handle. The temperature range is -20 to 125 degrees F (-29 to 52 degrees C). The maximum working pressure is 5 psi (34 kPa).

Common Questions
- Is this full port or standard port?
- Full port. The ball bore matches the 1/2" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.
- Can I use this on natural gas or propane?
- Yes. This model is UL listed for fuel gas (ANSI Z21.15 / CSA 9.1) and is intended for natural gas and LP service on indoor piping. Install per local fuel-gas code.
- Is this rated for potable water?
- No. This is a leaded model and cannot be installed in US potable-water systems. Watts builds a lead-free (LF-prefix) equivalent for potable service.
- Can it be serviced without cutting it out?
- No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
