Watts GBV 1 Ball Valve, Brass, FNPT

The Watts GBV 1 is a 1" 2-piece ball valve with female FNPT connections. It features a brass body and a ptfe seat. Rated to -20°F to 125°F.

This 1 inch two-piece brass gas ball valve with female threaded end connections is used in residential and commercial applications for natural gas and LP gas on in-house and indoor piping systems. The valve features brass body construction, virgin PTFE seats and seals, brass end piece and plug, and zinc alloy handle. The temperature range is -20 to 125 degrees F (-29 to 52 degrees C). The maximum working pressure is 5 psi (34 kPa).

Common Questions

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

Yes. This model is UL listed for fuel gas (ANSI Z21.15 / CSA 9.1) and is intended for natural gas and LP service on indoor piping. Install per local fuel-gas code.

Is this rated for potable water?

No. This is a leaded model and cannot be installed in US potable-water systems. Watts builds a lead-free (LF-prefix) equivalent for potable service.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
