The Watts FBV-3C 3 is a 3" 2-piece full port ball valve with female FNPT connections. It features a brass body and a ptfe seat. Rated to 600 psi.

This 3" 2-piece threaded full port brass ball valve, model FBV-3C, is used in commercial and industrial applications for a full range of liquids and gases. It features a bottom-loaded blowout-proof stem, virgin PTFE seat, thrust washer, and adjustable stem packing gland, stem packing nut, chrome plated brass ball, brass adapter and steel handle.

Common Questions

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 3" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

No. This is a leaded model and cannot be installed in US potable-water systems. Watts builds a lead-free (LF-prefix) equivalent for potable service.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
