The Watts 994-LF-FS 2 1/2 is a 2-1/2" lead-free reduced pressure zone (RPZ) backflow preventer, approved for high health hazard protection. It features a stainless body. Rated to 175 psi and 33°F to 110°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
This 2 1/2 inch lead free reduced pressure zone assembly backflow preventer is assembled without shutoffs and help stop the reverse flow of liquids due to backpressure or backsiphonage, where potential health hazard exists. Its compact modular design facilitates easy maintenance with a single access cover for in-line repairs. This assembly consists of a short lay length stainless steel body, test cocks, corrosive resistant stainless steel bottom mounted relief valve, and torsion spring check valves. This backflow assembly contains a flood sensor with SentryPlus Alert® technology to detect excessive water discharges from the relief valve. When activated through an add-on sensor connection kit, the flood sensor relays a signal that triggers notification of potential flooding to service personnel. The add-on sensor connection kit is available for building management systems and cellular communication.

- Is this model legal for potable water?
