The Watts LFFBV-3 PRxPEX 1 is a 1" lead-free 2-piece full port ball valve with Press connections. It features a brass body and a epdm seat. Rated to 250 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 1 inch lead free two-piece, full port, ball valve with press x PEX connections is designed for use in plumbing, heating, and potable water applications. It features a lead free brass body, adjustable packing gland, and bottom-loaded blowout proof stem. The valve facilitates easy transition from copper tubing to PEX tubing. It has integral ASTM-B88 compliant press end connections on one side with ASTM F-1087 compliant PEX connections on the other. The PEX fitting is rated for 160psi at 73 degrees F, and the press fitting is rated to 250 psi at 250 degrees F.

Common Questions

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 1" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

Yes. It is a lead-free model certified to NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372, so it meets the Safe Drinking Water Act limit for potable-water service.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
