The Watts LF709-OSY NYC 4 is a 4" lead-free double check valve assembly with Flanged connections, approved for low health hazard protection. It features a cast iron body. Rated to 175 psi. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
This 4 inch lead free double check valve backflow preventer assembly is designed to prevent the reverse flow of contaminated water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. Ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazard applications and contaminants found at the service line. This assembly consists of an fused epoxy coated cast iron body, OSY resilient seated gate valves, test cocks, and a modular check design with center stem guide. The captured spring is accessible through a bolted cover plate. The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek®, a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion. This NYC version comes with four sets of 304SS bolts/nuts with a 1/4 inch hole drilled axially through the bolt to properly tag backflow preventers.
