The Watts 774-OSY-TS 2 1/2 is a 2-1/2" lead-free double check valve assembly with Grooved connections, approved for low health hazard protection. It features a stainless body. Rated to 175 psi and 33°F to 110°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
This 2 1/2 inch lead free double check valve assembly backflow preventer is designed to prevent the reverse flow of contaminated water of non-potable quality from being pumped or siphoned into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure in accordance with national plumbing codes and water authority requirements. It is ideal for protection at cross-connections identified as non-health hazard applications and from other contaminants found at the service line entrance. This compact and short lay length design with a single access cover for easy maintenance is approved with the arrow on the valve body pointing in the direction of the flow for vertical, horizontal, and retrofit installations. This assembly consists of a lightweight stainless steel body, resilient seated outside stem and yoke gate valves, tamper switch, spring loaded cam-check valves, and test cocks.
