The Watts 3/4 LBRVM1SXSXB-125 is a 3/4" lead-free full port ball valve with Sweat connections. It features a copper body and a fkm (viton) seat. Rated to 400 psi and up to 210°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 3/4 inch lead free combination ball valve and relief valve is used in commercial and residential applications on water heater installations. It consists of a lead free bronze full port body with 3/4 inch solder inlet and outlet, chrome plated lead free brass ball, blowout-proof lead free brass stem, PTFE seats, stem packing, and stem thrust bearing, Viton relief ball, stainless steel relief spring, lead free brass adapter, and zinc plated carbon steel handle. The relief valve outlet includes a drain tube connection with a 3/4 inch barb fitting. It has a low profile design and can be installed in any position. It is for applications that require a means to shut off the water supply to the water heater and for providing protection from excess water pressure caused by thermal expansion. The pressure rating is 400 psi and the pressure relief is set at 125 psi (8.6 bar).

Common Questions

This is listed as a ball valve — does it really relieve pressure too?

Both. It is a combination unit for water heater installations: the handle shuts off the supply, and an integral spring-loaded relief ball lifts at 125 psi to protect the tank from thermal-expansion overpressure. The relief outlet takes a 3/4" drain tube that must run to an approved discharge point. The relief is pressure-only, so it does not replace the heater's own temperature & pressure (T&P) valve.

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 3/4" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

Yes. It is a lead-free model (weighted lead content at or below 0.25%), so it is legal for potable water. Check the spec sheet if your submittal specifically requires an NSF/ANSI 61 listing.
