- Yes. The body and disc are 316L stainless steel with a 32 Ra polished internal finish to limit product entrapment, and the valve is designed for clean-in-place and steam-in-place (CIP/SIP) cycles as well as liquid-cooling loops.
- How does this valve connect to my line?
- It uses Tri Clamp (sanitary clamp) ends in 4", so it installs and comes apart tool-free with a clamp and gasket — the right choice where the line has to be broken for cleaning or inspection. If you want a permanent, crevice-free joint instead, the W7200 version of this valve has tube weld ends.
- Why does this model use a gear operator instead of a lever?
- At 4" the torque needed to unseat the disc is more than a hand lever can comfortably deliver, so this model ships with an enclosed gear operator and handwheel. The gearing also lets you throttle precisely and holds the disc position against flow, rather than relying on a detent plate.
