Is this valve suitable for food, beverage, or hygienic service?

Yes. The body and disc are 316L stainless steel with a 32 Ra polished internal finish to limit product entrapment, and the valve is designed for clean-in-place and steam-in-place (CIP/SIP) cycles as well as liquid-cooling loops.

How does this valve connect to my line?

It uses Tri Clamp (sanitary clamp) ends in 1-1/4", so it installs and comes apart tool-free with a clamp and gasket — the right choice where the line has to be broken for cleaning or inspection. If you want a permanent, crevice-free joint instead, the W7200 version of this valve has tube weld ends.
