Watts 1 WQCDE Lead-Free Ball Valve, Brass

The Watts 1 WQCDE is a 1" lead-free 2-piece full port ball valve with a lever handle. It features a brass body and a epdm seat. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.

This 1 inch 2-piece full port lead free ball valve is used in mostly residential applications. The valve features a forged lead free body with quick connect end connections and drop ears for easy connection and installation. The valve is composed of a chrome plated lead free brass ball, virgin PTFE seats and seals and EPDM O-ring, and zinc plated steel handle with vinyl insulator. A white handle is attached for easy LF identification.

Common Questions

Is this full port or standard port?

Full port. The ball bore matches the 1" pipe ID, so the valve adds almost no restriction — the right choice for pump suction, main shutoffs, and any run where you cannot give up head.

Can I use this on natural gas or propane?

No. This valve carries no fuel-gas listing, and code requires an ANSI Z21.15 / CSA listed valve for natural gas or LP. Use a Watts GBV series gas ball valve instead.

Is this rated for potable water?

Yes. It is a lead-free model (weighted lead content at or below 0.25%), so it is legal for potable water. Check the spec sheet if your submittal specifically requires an NSF/ANSI 61 listing.

Can it be serviced without cutting it out?

No. A 2-piece body is not designed for in-line rebuild; it is replaced as a unit. Choose a three-piece valve (LFB6800 / S-6800 series) where in-line serviceability matters.
