- This MegaPressG fitting is made for use with Sch. 10 to Sch. 40 carbon steel pipe. It is IPS sized: an CTS pipe of the same nominal size has a different outside diameter and will not seal in it.
- Which press tool and jaw do I need?
- Press it with jaws or rings made for the MegaPress profile. A jaw made for a different profile will not make a warrantable joint.
- What temperature and pressure is it rated for?
- It seals with a factory-installed HNBR sealing element, rated -40°F to 180°F (Viega seals and gaskets data). Viega rates MegaPressG to 125 psi for fuel gas.
