Description
The Uponor LF4572020 is a 2" lead-free PEX fitting with FNPT connections. ProPEX LF brass female threaded adapters connect Uponor PEX tubing to female NPT threads for transitioning from metal to PEX. ProPEX lead-free brass is intended for potable plumbing, non-potable heating, and non-potable cooling applications. Note: ProPEX tool is required. ProPEX rings sold separately. It features a brass body. Rated to up to 200°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
Common Questions
- Do I need a special tool?
- Yes. These are ProPEX (ASTM F1960) cold-expansion connections: the PEX is expanded with a ProPEX tool and a ProPEX ring, then shrinks back onto the fitting. ProPEX rings are sold separately.
- Is it approved for drinking water?
- Yes. Uponor lists it to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 (lead-free) with a potable-water (pw) listing.
- What pressure and temperature is it rated for?
- Uponor rates it at 160 psi @ 73°F, 100 psi @ 180°F, 80 psi @ 200°F.
