The TOTO TBV01406U#PFG is a thermostatic shower valve trim in Polished French Gold. It is trim only: it installs on the TBN01001U Mini Unit rough-in box, sold separately.
Common Questions
- Is this trim only, or does it include the valve?
- Trim only. The TBV01406U#PFG is the visible handle and escutcheon; the in-wall TBN01001U rough-in valve is sold separately and must be installed first.
- Which rough-in do I need?
- TOTO specifies the TBN01001U Mini Unit universal rough-in box for this trim. TOTO also notes the Mini Unit requires a volume control valve or a positive shut-off valve in the system.
- Does this trim also turn the water on and off?
- No. This trim controls temperature only. TOTO states it requires a volume control valve or positive shut-off valve, for example the TBN01104U volume control valve with a TBV01101U or TBV02101U trim.
- Is it anti-scald?
- Yes. TOTO describes it as an ASSE certified SAFETY THERMO (SMA) thermostatic mixing valve trim with an anti-scald safety stop.
