Sloan EL-3-AA-U Royal Electronic Solenoid Activated Concealed Valve Assembly, 24V

The Sloan EL-3-AA-U is an unfinished (rough brass) valve assembly for Royal ESS and Royal ES. It is rated at 1.5 gallons per flush.

The EL-3-AA-U solenoid valve body is a urinal replacement assembly for Optima® ES (electronic solenoid) or Optima® ES-S (electronic solenoid sensor) flushometers. Optima® ES and ES-S electronic solenoids are for Royal® 24V style flushometers. The EL-3-AA-U solenoid assembly is intended for flushometers operating with a 24V electrical supply. The valve body assembly includes a 1.5 gpf (gallons per flush) diaphragm, a standard adjustable tailpiece, and is rough brass. Sloan offers additional valve body repair parts based on your flushometer needs. An IR sensor is a type of sensor that detects the presence of an object or a person using infrared light. When an object or person comes close to the sensor, the IR light is reflected back to the sensor, which triggers the flushometer to initiate a flush cycle.

Common Questions

What flush valves does this part fit?

Sloan's own parts data lists this as fitting Royal ESS and Royal ES. Match the model or series stamped on your existing flushometer before ordering -- Sloan changes internal parts between series, so a wrong part number is a common return.

What gpf is this part?

This part is 1.5 gpf, per Sloan's own listing for this code.

Is this a genuine Sloan part?

Yes. The EL-3-AA-U is a factory-original Sloan Valve Company replacement part, not an aftermarket equivalent.
