Common Questions
- Is this valve certified for Nitrogen?
- Yes -- this Chicago Faucets fitting is built and indexed for Nitrogen service (index button/label: NIT). It is not interchangeable with a fitting indexed for a different medium: laboratory gas fittings are certified per-service, so swapping a valve between gases is a code violation, not just a labeling mismatch.
- Does this have backflow protection?
- Yes -- it ships with integral check valve. This matters whenever a hose can be submerged in a vessel or chemical: without backflow protection, a drop in supply pressure can siphon contaminated liquid back into the potable/gas line.
