This faucet uses Chicago Faucets' Long Term Power System (LTPS), a self-contained turbine that needs no battery replacement or wiring. Chicago Faucets rates it maintenance-free for 15+ Years (Maintenance-Free).

Does it include scald protection?

No. This model has no mixing valve -- it runs on a single supply of already-tempered water, or delivers whichever single supply it is piped to. Mix hot and cold ahead of the faucet if the application needs a controlled temperature.

How long does the water run before it shuts off?

The sensor holds the water on for 40 seconds of continuous hand presence, then the safety auto-timeout closes it automatically. Removing and re-presenting your hands restarts detection.
