Common Questions
- How is this faucet powered, and what is the battery life?
- This faucet uses Chicago Faucets' Long Term Power System (LTPS), a self-contained turbine that needs no battery replacement or wiring. Chicago Faucets rates it maintenance-free for 15+ Years (Maintenance-Free).
- Does it include scald protection?
- Yes. It has a built-in ASSE 1070 thermostatic mixing valve, so the delivered water temperature is limited even if the hot supply runs too hot -- the code-required protection for K-12, healthcare and similar occupancies.
- How long does the water run before it shuts off?
- The sensor holds the water on for 10 seconds of continuous hand presence, then the safety auto-timeout closes it automatically. Removing and re-presenting your hands restarts detection.
- Is this faucet ADA compliant?
- Yes. It meets ADA / ANSI-ICC A117.1 requirements -- hands-free sensor operation means no grasping, pinching or twisting is required to turn the water on.
- Is this faucet lead-free?
- Yes. It is ECAST® cast-brass construction with total lead content at or below 0.25% by weighted average, meeting NSF/ANSI/CAN 372 low-lead requirements for potable water.
