The Chicago Faucets 45-244ABCP is a 1/2" lead-free multi-turn straight water supply stop with a 1/2" FNPT inlet and a 1/2" FNPT outlet. It features a brass body. Rated to 40°F to 140°F. This model is certified lead-free for potable-water installations.
Chicago Faucets No. 45-244ABCP, Straight Stop Fitting, chrome plated. 3" metal cross handle with eight-point, tapered broach and secured, white index button. Klo-Self® rebuildable self-closing cartridge, immediate shut-off, opens and closes 90° bi-directional, features square, tapered stem. 1/2" NPT female thread inlet. 1/2" NPT female thread outlet. ECAST® construction with less than 0.25% lead content by weighted average. This product is tested and certified to industry standards: ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, and Certified to NSF/ANSI 61, Section 9.

- A cross handle, permanently attached -- turn it by hand, no separate key needed.
- Is this a quarter-turn or a multi-turn stop?
- Multi-turn. It uses a rebuildable slow-compression cartridge that opens and closes through a full 360° for fine adjustment, closing against water pressure -- the traditional stop mechanism, not a quarter-turn ball valve.
