Common Questions
- What kind of handle does this stop have?
- A lever handle, permanently attached -- turn it by hand, no separate key needed.
- Is this a quarter-turn or a multi-turn stop?
- Multi-turn. It uses a rebuildable slow-compression cartridge that opens and closes through a full 360° for fine adjustment, closing against water pressure -- the traditional stop mechanism, not a quarter-turn ball valve.
- What connections does this stop have?
- 1/2" FNPT on the inlet (to the building supply) and 1/2" FNPT on the outlet (to the fixture supply line).
- Is this vandal-resistant?
- Yes -- Chicago states this model is vandal-proof construction, built for public-facing installations where the handle assembly needs to resist force, not just casual operation.
- What is included in the box?
- This stop ships as a complete fitting: Color-Coded Handle Index.
- What pressure is this rated for?
- 20-125 PSI supply pressure, per Chicago's published rating for this model.
