- A double chamfered hex nut used to join to externally threaded parts of equal diameter and pitch, often two pieces of threaded rod
- Tensile strength: 60,000 psi
- Zinc finish provides moderate corrosion resistance
- Can be installed by screwing onto exposed thread by hand and tightening with a wrench
